Ana Raab

During the summer of 2016, I traveled overseas completely on my own for the first time. Over the course of seven weeks, I wandered through Scandinavia exploring the Swedish heritage of my grandmother, made my way to Berlin by train, and confronted the stark beauty of Iceland—stretching myself along the way.

Follow my past and current journeys here.

Seattle Central Library

The Seattle Public Library’s Central branch is one of the most beautiful and unique buildings in the city. Constructed in 2004 and designed by renowned architects Rem Koolhaas and Joshua Prince-Ramus, the 11-story building is considered a modern marvel and attracts architectural devotees from around the globe. Over 2 million visitors toured the library in its first year. Its dramatic lines and long shadows make it one of my favorite buildings to photograph.
