Ana Raab

In the summer of 2016, I traveled completely on my own for the very first time. Over the course of seven weeks, I wandered through Scandinavia exploring the Swedish heritage of my grandmother, made my way to Berlin by train, explored the stark beauty of Iceland and endeavored to discover a small piece of myself along the way (while doing my best to pronounce words like "Siglufjörður!").

Follow my past and future travels here.

The Round Tower

Copenhagen's Round Tower is one of the most beautiful structures I've ever seen, with its soft, white interior curves and stunning 360° views from the top. Plus for whatever reason, climbing the circular walkway seemed so much easier than stairs. The tower is the oldest functioning observatory in Europe, dating from 1642 and there's even an original toilet still in tact!!
